I hope all of you are having a great day.  This coming Sunday we will continue our series on being "Christian to the Core."  This Sunday's topic has to do with Multiplication of Disciples.  When you and I invite someone to Church or share our faith with them, sometimes God uses those experiences to transform a seeker into a believer.  Knowing that you were instrumental in leading a person to Christ is a great feeling.  But what happens next?  What you have is a new-born Christian.  They love God and want to grow, but that usually happens best with the help of more mature Christians.
Who will teach the new believer the practice of prayer?  How will they know what it means to be a servant of Christ?  Who will teach them the importance of giving to God?  How will they know how Christians are to treat others?  Now that they have come to Christ, they need to be DISCIPLED.  Rather than having to learn all this on their own, they are more likely to mature in their faith when they have others teaching, mentoring and coaching them.  This is what it means to make disciples.
Who discipled you?  Who are you discipling?  Who are you investing your time and Christian faith in to help them grow?  We'll be talking about the importance of making disciples in this week's worship.
