HAPPY EASTER!

As I am preparing for my Easter message tomorrow, I am filled with awe and gratitude for the amazing love has shown us through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus.  Several years ago my oldest son, Tucker, wrote of poem expressing his thoughts about the events of Christ's death and resurrection.  It has always brought me encouragement and I thought I would share it with you as we reflect on the meaning of the Easter season.  I hope you enjoy it.

"Watch as the tears slip slowly down
the face beneath the thorny crown.
They placed the thorns upon his head
then laughed with glee til his wounds bled
And all for me!

He stumbles down the dusty road
falling beneath the heavy load.
Jeering, they raised him up again
ignoring all his grief and pain.
And all for me!

They buried him without a thought.
It seemed his life would be for naught.
And all for me!

Yet sun, and Son arose at dawn!
An empty tomb, my past is gone!
Leaving behind his joy and love.
Rising assures our home above!

Thanks, Tucker for reminding us of the real essence of what Easter is all about!

Till next time...
